KAMPALA UA Stephen Curry One Star Mid Koripallokengät Musta Violetti Vihreä Suomi , Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Uganda has suspended the national boxing body over the disappearance of three players who had traveled to Germany for the world boxing championship.
Patrick Ogwel, assistant general secretary of the National Council of Sports told Xinhua in an interview late on Saturday that the executive of the Uganda Boxing Federation failed to explain the disappearance of the players.
"We are not going to accept this kind of management," he said.
The players had gone to attend the 2017 AIBA World Championship in Hamburg, Germany early this month.
"We have decided that the whole Federation executive members are suspended as investigations go on following the failure of the boxers to return," Ogwel said.
David Kavuma, the Federation spokesman who traveled as manager confirmed that the three boxers stayed behind in Germany to try and get clubs to join.
The three boxers who represented Uganda at the World Championships include: David Ayiti UA Stephen Curry One MVP Mid Koripallokengät Musta Valkoinen Kulta Suomi , Geoffrey Kakeeto and African welterweight champion Muzamiru Kakande.
While the two other boxers all lost in the first round, super heavyweight boxer Ayiti was not included in the draws under un-clear reasons for which Federation has said they will lodge a formal complaint.
Charles Bakkabulindi, the minister in-charge of sports said they are going to start acting tough against sports associations whose players fail to return after international events.
"We shall not accept this kind of behaviour because it has been happening in the past. The boxing body will now have to answer or get punished," he added.

OSLO, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Iceland's Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson said Saturday that the president has accepted his resignation and a new parliamentary election will possibly be held on Nov. 4, local media reported.
After a meeting with Icelandic President Gudni Johannesson, Benediktsson told reporters that an executive committee should be in office as a provisional government until the election.
According to Icelandic laws, the final decision on new parliamentary elections will be made by the president. Johannesson, who was meeting leaders of other parties Miesten UA Stephen Curry One Father to Son Low Koripallokengät Suomi , was expected to make an announcement later Saturday.
Benediktsson on Friday called for a new parliamentary election after a junior coalition party decided to quit due to a "breach of trust" within the center-right government.

The Reform Party, another junior partner, has called for new elections as soon as possible.
